The Healthy Voice & Practical Musicianship for the Actor
Robin McKee-WilliamsRobin McKee-Williams is TWS’ company vocologist and has worked in restoring and preserving principal vocalists for the past three seasons. She is one of only three certified McClosky voice specialists on the West Coast, and her methods & incredible understanding of the physiology of the human voice modify weak vocal habits to rebuild & enhance healthy, robust and lasting speaking/singing voices. In addition to teaching McClosky techniques, Robin will offer a short-course based upon the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music approach to vocal performance and musicianship. These techniques enable students to more easily prepare for singing and musical theatre performance.

The Healthy Voice Workshop Series consists of 10 Monday evenings from 6–8 PM.

Now I gotta cut loose, Footloose!
Joelle McGrath and Sam Trevino are veterans of TWS’ musical stage, and have been featured dancers, dance captains and assisting our choreographers for many years. The dance required by TWS 2010 musicals will be challenging to say the least, so here’s your chance to get a “leg up” on things!

Dance Instructors, Joelle McGrath and Sam TrevinoJoelle and Sam are offering a series of dance classes that will not only build your stamina and flexibility, but will give you insider knowledge of step combinations and how to better learn choreography in rehearsal. Even if you are a veteran dancer yourself, this series is a good way to keep in top shape in preparation for our musical stage!

Meetings will be scheduled during April 12 – May 16 (5 weeks) and are Tuesday and Thursday evenings each week. Enrollment will be in ThA 100C:7203 for 0.5 units.
If we decide to start earlier and to offer more meetings, and if the teaching team changes, we will let you know!
