Malinda DeRouen*
Malinda is thrilled to be back at The Western Stage, where she has found a creative home for 25 years. Her theatrical education began in elementary school in Gilroy, continued through high school in Southern California, leading her to professional stages as a college student at CSUMB. Previous shows at TWS include Evita (Eva Peron), Chicago (Roxie Hart), Bye Bye Birdie (Rose), and Big River (Alice). Other credits include Gypsy (Mama Rose), Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill (Billie Holiday), Mary Poppins (Mary), Othello (Emilia), Much Ado About Nothing (Leonata), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), La Pastorela (San Miguel), Zoot Suit (Bertha), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene) and Beach Blanket Babylon. Malinda is a soloist in the Monterey Symphony’s annual Love Letter concerts at the Forest Theater in Carmel.
