CAST
Angela Jeffries
Angela has performed at various theaters across California, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Texas. Her recent credits include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Cabrillo Stage) and Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown (SBMT). More of her favorite roles include Cathy in The Last Five Years, Madame Defarge in A Tale of Two Cities, Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, The Witch in Into the Woods, The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, and Judy Bernly in 9 to 5. Additionally, she has performed at the Kennedy Center in DC, at New World Stages in New York City, and as a lead singer on Holland America Cruise Line. She has a degree in Acting from Weber State University. This production marks Angela’s Western Stage debut. “For Luca… my whole life.”
Michelle Vera
Michelle (she/her) is so excited to be a part of The Mad Ones and make her Western Stage debut. Recent credits include Hope Cladwell in Urinetown (SBMT), Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (SVCT), and Quintet/Ensemble in Sweeney Todd (Cabrillo Stage). When she isn’t on stage, Michelle can be found learning how to golf with her friends and working as a paralegal in Corporate Law. She wants to thank her wonderful friends, family, and Ian for being her mad ones and always showing up to support her.
Maria Elena Mejia Contreras
Maria Elena is a 19-year-old local artist, and is excited to return to TWS for this impactful production. In the past year she has worked in theatre production, stage management, design, directing teams, and media/promotion for Piernas and King John at Hartnell College, and La Casa de Bernarda Alba at Alisal High School. Acting works include Spring Awakening, Something Rotten (Portia), Jesus Christ Superstar (Soul Sister), Ride the Cyclone (Ocean O’Connell), Alice by Heart (Alice), Imaginary (Alice), Tuck Everlasting (Winnie Foster), and Frozen (Anna). She would like to thank her family for being her number one supporters and her friends that never miss a show!
Quentin Gutierrez
Quentin Gutierrez is an artist whose main passion is acting. You may have seen him in previous Western Stage productions such as Squirrel Girl Goes to College, and An Enemy of The Pueblo. He has also been in the UC Riverside productions of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters and Shakespeare's Macbeth. Currently, Quentin spends his time taking care of his 1-year-old daughter Qhrysanthemum while she is awake, and writes as many works as possible while she is asleep. He hopes you will truly enjoy The Mad Ones, and thanks everyone for being here.
